Slovan Bratislava will wonder what might have been if Marko Tolić didn't earn his marching orders.
The hosts welcomed Milan to town on Tuesday and with the match sitting 3-2 in the dying moments, they maybe, maybe could have earned a shock point.
However, some rash decision-making from the Croatian midfielder virtually eliminated any chance.
Tolić was shown a yellow card for arguing with the referee at 88:25. Then, stunningly, only 10 seconds later, he was shown a second for continued dissent.
This means he was the first player to be sent off in the Champions League for two yellows for dissent, the last of which occurred four years ago in November 2020.
The player to do that? Arturo Vidal while playing for Inter against Real Madrid.
