“DONATING EXPERIENCES”: A SPECIAL MEETING OF SOLIDARITY | OneFootball

Bologna FC 1909, in collaboration with AIL Bologna ODV (Italian Association against Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma), have organised a special initiative dedicated to oncohematological patients and their families. The Club have opened the doors to their training centre to welcome some of those assisted by the association, offering them a unique opportunity to meet some of the Rossoblù first-team players.

This event is part of the “Donating Experiences” initiative which represents the heart of a new charity partnership between Social Football Summit and AIL. This collaboration was formed to unite the world of sport and solidarity, educating the public of the needs of patients with oncohematological conditions. Thanks to this initiative, the associations are able to gift unforgettable moments linked to football which help those with oncohematological illness and their families to live more normally and calmly.

The meeting with the Rossoblù players was not just a chance to take photos and get some autographs: this authentic moment represented both care and support, emphasising sport’s role as a symbol of inclusion and moral action.

AIL Bologna ODV, in operation since 1992, engages in scientific research to support patients and to make people aware of oncohematological illnesses. Thanks to volunteers, donors and businesses, the association is continuing to promote initiatives that improve the quality of lives of those who are facing ongoing treatment. This event is in line with Bologna FC 1909’s solidarity mission, which is to always support the community with socially valuable initiatives. It is a simple gesture with a huge impact, showing how football can be a powerful symbol of hope and positivity.
