Delap and Wharton named in England U21 squad | OneFootball

Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has been named in the England U21 squad.

The 22-year-old has had an excellent season with Ipswich, bagging 12 goals and two assists in the Premier League.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Delap, who has a £30 million release clause following Ipswich’s relegation.

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton is also in the squad after being omitted by Thomas Tuchel from the senior list.

Tuchel has picked Jordan Henderson ahead of Wharton, sparking outrage among England fans.

Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri has earned his third call-up, while Liverpool duo Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott were also named in the squad.
