In a surprising move that hadn’t been discussed much prior, Bournemouth midfielder Romain Faivre had agreed a deal to go to Hellas Verona in Serie A, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. It was a loan deal which is with an option to make the transfer permanent next summer for €10 million. However at the last moment, Faivre reportedly had a change of heart and the deal fell through as a result. This is a second failed deal in succession for Verona after Roma pulled out of the deal for Tommaso Baldanzi last minute as well. A product of AS Monaco’s youth academy, he played for Brest, Lyon and Lorient before joining Bournemouth for €15m in 2023. Injuries limited him to just six competitive appearances for Bournemouth. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Brest, one of his former clubs. He is now expected to stay put at Bournemouth or move to some other league where the window is still open. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
