“Lukaku has a hip problem that systematically returns every few months. The treatment he receives leads him to stay out for a few days. We’ll see how it works out,” said De Rossi.

“Will he be back soon? I don’t want to say it because I don’t know. I think so, they tell me yes but I don’t know anything about it. The hip is the only thing I’ve never injured in my career so I don’t know anything about this kind of injury.”

“Rotations? It’s not a question of turnover, it’s a question of wanting fresh players to play a good match like we did in the first leg. Many players have played many games so we need fresh players in whom I have a lot of confidence. It’s not a question of reserves or starters, it’s a question of always having players giving 200% on the pitch.”

“Am I tired? I don’t sleep much at night because I’m always thinking about this job. I haven’t slept much for two months, I’m tired but I’m happy. This job gives me a lot. I’m tired but I’m better than two months ago when I was waiting and hungry for work.”
