Young Stoke City player Sol Sidibe is attracting interest from AC Milan and Chelsea after he made his debut for the Championship side this season.

According to the Daily Mail (via Stoke Sentinel), Sidibe is destined for a future away from Stoke City. He became the second youngest player ever fielded by the Potters when he was a late substitute aged 16 years and 176 days during last season’s opening-day win over Rotherham United.

He is now 17 years old and the young midfielder has enjoyed a promising season, despite Stoke only managing to finish 17th in the Championship.

He has made eight appearances during the season and has been impressive for the England U17s as well, meaning his stock has been rising.

Sidibe is French and was born in Paris, and Scottish side Rangers have also shown an interest in his services.

As the Mail stated: “Sidibe has won international recognition with England’s under-17s this season and is also eligible to feature for Senegal and Mali, while France are considering a call-up. It is his French passport that has alerted European sides.”

With Milan set to launch an U23 side in Serie C next season, Sidibe is the sort of player who could be used in the team.
