Juventus begin the defence of their Coppa Italia with a Round of 16 clash at home to Cagliari on Tuesday evening.

Ahead of the 21:00 CET match-up at Allianz Stadium, here's all you need to know:

Juventus have won their last two Coppa Italia matches against Cagliari, both by a score of 1-0, in 2012 and 1989.
Cagliari have won only one of their last 27 matches (21L, 5D) against Juventus in all competitions, drawing the two most recent encounters.
Since 2010, Juventus have scored 60 goals against Cagliari in 27 matches in all competitions: fewer only than against Lazio (72) and Udinese (66). Only once have the Bianconeri failed to find the back of the net in this period against the Sardinians: on 29 July 2020 (0-2).
Only against AC Milan have Cagliari lost more games (47) in Serie A than against Juventus (45); moreover, the Sardinians have conceded 128 goals against the Bianconeri in the top flight, and have only conceded more against the Rossoneri (135), Roma (139) and Inter (149).
Juventus have never lost at home in the Coppa Italia against Cagliari: two draws were followed by a 1-0 win in 2012.

Juventus is, with AC Milan, one of the two teams to have participated in the Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia the most (51 prior to this season); the Bianconeri have won all of the Last 16 matches played in this round from 2009 onwards.
The last time Juventus failed to reach the Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia was in the 2004/05 season with Fabio Capello on the bench: an away first leg defeat (0-2) and a home return draw (3-3) against Atalanta.
Juventus haven't lost at home in the Coppa Italia since March 2015, against Fiorentina; since then, the Bianconeri have achieved 20 wins and three draws, keeping their goal unbeaten 13 times, the longest unbeaten streak at home in the competition.
Cagliari have won their last two matches in the Coppa Italia and have not achieved three wins in a row in the competition since the period between September and November 2004.
Cagliari have been eliminated in each of the last 10 occasions in which they have participated in the Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia; the last time the Sardinians passed this round was in 2004/05, against Lazio.

Dusan Vlahovic has scored seven goals against Cagliari across all competitions (four with Fiorentina, three with Juventus), against no team he has done better since arriving in Italy (seven goals also against Lazio).
Against Cagliari, Weston McKennie (149) could make his 150th appearance with Juventus in all competitions. The American midfielder has already scored three goals this season in all competitions - after not scoring last season - and has not done better with the Bianconeri since 2021/22 (four).
With four goals scored this season in all competitions, Kenan Yildiz has already equalled his tally from last season (four in 32 appearances), and he has also already contributed three assists in 2024/25 after providing none in 2023/24.
Nicolas Gonzalez has scored three goals against Cagliari in all competitions (all in Serie A), only against Sassuolo (four goals) has he done better since arriving in Italy.
Mattia Perin is maintaining a save percentage of 81.5% in all competitions in 2024/25, his highest figure in a single season with the Bianconeri. Since his return to Juventus (2021/22), he is the Serie A goalkeeper who has recorded the most clean sheets in the Coppa Italia (six).

Gaetano Oristanio has been involved in four goals in 15 appearances in the league (two goals, two assists), already one more than in 25 appearances with the Cagliari shirt last season (three - two goals, one assist).
The Bianconeri are the side against whom Leonardo Pavoletti has played the most minutes in Serie A without ever scoring (465). The next will be his 50th goal with Cagliari in all competitions.
Roberto Piccoli scored in his first Serie A clash against Juventus (with the Empoli shirt in May 2023), only to not score against the Bianconeri in the top-flight in the next three meetings.
All the goals scored by Razvan Marin in the current Serie A have come in away games, including the one against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on 6 October.
Gabriele Zappa is the Cagliari player who has played the most minutes this season in all competitions (1575); at the same time he has yet to contribute an assist after three last season.
