Crystal Palace travel to face Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup’s fourth round this evening.
The Eagles edged past Stockport County in the previous round and will look to avoid an upset against lower league opposition again. Oliver Glasner put out a strong side for that clash and could do so again, as Palace look to impress in cup competition.
He will hope to build momentum from a 2-0 win at Manchester United in the Premier League, a highlight in an up-and-down season for the South Londoners.
Doncaster are third in League Two and pushing for promotion this season. Grant McCann’s side upset Championship Hull on penalties in the previous round.
Glasner could hand a debut to Ben Chilwell after the Chelsea left-back joined on loan on deadline day. The England international had been frozen out at Stamford Bridge and is looking to reignite his fortunes with the Eagles. Chilwell has played just 45 minutes of senior football so far this season.
Eddie Nketiah is a doubt after injuring his ankle in training, though Chris Richards is hopeful of returning after illness. Matheus Franca could also be involved in the squad after an injury-hit season for the 20-year-old.
Eberechi Eze, Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad are confirmed absentees for Palace, while Nathaniel Clyne is a doubt.
Crystal Palace predicted XI: Turner; Lacroix, Richards, Guehi; Kporha, Hughes, Wharton, Chilwell; Sarr, Esse; Mateta.
Doncaster host Crystal Palace in the FA Cup’s fourth round on Monday 10th February 2025. Kick-off at the Eco-Power Stadium is 19:45 GMT.
