West Ham United face competition from Crystal Palace for the signature of Brighton defender Igor, as the Eagles look to replace Marc Guehi.
Liverpool are chasing Guehi on transfer deadline day and have been getting closer to reaching an agreement with Crystal Palace.
The Eagles though want to bring in a replacement if Guehi is to go through the door and have been examining their options.
They are now keen on landing Brighton defender Igor, according to journalist Alex Crook, who is also wanted by West Ham.
The Hammers have held talks over a possible deal to take Igor to the London Stadium before the window closes.
West Ham are in the process of selling Nayef Aguerd to French side Marseille and Graham Potter wants another centre-back body to come in through the door.
Igor missed a big chunk of last term through injury and ended the campaign having clocked just 13 Premier League appearances for Brighton.
He has not played in the Premier League for the Seagulls yet this term and a move to either Crystal Palace or West Ham could open the door to more opportunities for the defender.
Palace are looking to loan Igor, while what deal West Ham are exploring remains unclear, with Brighton favouring a permanent sale.
Igor came up against West Ham in the Conference League final when he was on the books at Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.
It remains to be seen what other plans Crystal Palace or West Ham might have on deadline day if they cannot bring in another centre-back.
The situation will be tricky for Palace as Liverpool push hard to get their hands on Guehi and Joe Gomez waits to see if the deal happens as he looks to join AC Milan.
