Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante spoke to Sky Sport during the team’s pre-season preparations in England where they are set to face Everton in today’s friendly.

“I already knew the coach. I know how he works and how much more he can give you on and off the pitch, in every way.”

“We started working hard right away. It’s a lot of work, but I had prepared in the summer. It’s harder in preparation, but then we get it all back in our legs.”

“If you’re young, you’re lucky to have a coach like Gasperini because he really makes you give everything you can. Sometimes it’s not easy for young people to reach their full potential. When you’re in the coach’s hands, you know that if you have 100%, he’ll make you give 100% and even more.”

“He’s been coaching for many years and knows every type of player and situation. There’s a strong desire to play up front but also defend strongly, which is his game. We’re all slowly adapting. I think we’re on the right path to doing well.”
