Bologna-Milan will finally take place tonight at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara, four months after it was originally scheduled in the fixture list.

After months of controversy over the postponement, Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) write how the Dall’Ara is expected to be sold out or almost for tonight’s rescheduled game, and it is one that has big top four implications.

Despite the long uncertainty over when the new date would be – given both teams were in the Champions League and have made the Coppa Italia semi-finals – very few home fans have asked for a refund for their original tickets.

However, the disputes over the postponement have not died down, especially on social media. As a reminder, Milan were very unhappy about how the process took place back in late October, believing that several things conspired to ensure the game did not take place despite various solutions.

The Bologna Curva are expected to display banners dedicated to the flood victims, as a reminder that many people within their city lost a lot during those few days.

That may well then perhaps definitively close the controversy chapter so the two teams can focus only on the pitch and a big three points at stake.
