AC Milan have been given a positive rating for the transfer window they have conducted so far in today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport.

Serie A journalist Alberto Polverosi gave his votes for the mercato carried out by Napoli, Milan, Inter, Juventus, Lazio, Atalanta and Roma in this morning’s edition of the paper, which was relayed by Radio Rossonera.

He gives Milan a score of 6.5 out of 10, writing that the summer friendlies have little meaning but they will have left some doubts in Stefano Pioli’s head after they lost to Real Madrid, Juventus (on penalties) and Barcelona.

The club gave the coach two completely new departments: the midfield (Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders and Musah) and the attack (Pulisic, Okafor and Chukwueze). Now, it is up to Pioli to get them to gel.

Napoli are the team that get the highest score (7) mainly because they were able to keep hold of Victor Osimhen, while Inter, Juventus and Lazio each got a 6.5 for each getting functional players without signing a star man.

Atalanta got a 6 having sold Hojlund to Manchester United for an astronomical fee and having bet on Scamacca, who could yet prove to be underwhelming.

Finally, Roma get a 5.5. Aouar, Paredes and Renato Sanches would have improved the level of midfield without the sale of Matic, but they are arguably missing someone to play at the base of the midfield as well as a new striker.
