Chelsea are discussing the possibility of signing another centre back according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues are currently having a well earned break following Sunday’s Club World Cup triumph against Paris Saint Germain in New York.
However, whilst the players are on holiday, work is continuing at the club in regards to possible transfers and outgoings.
Chelsea have been busy this summer, and have already made three signings in Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.
Outgoings have started to pick up as well with Djordje Petrovic and Noni Madueke leaving the cub, but there’s still work to be done.

It’s unclear whether the Blues will look to bring in another attacker, whilst they also need cover at left back for Marc Cucurella.
Chelsea are said to have held fresh talks over a move for Jorrel Hato, and Romano has now provided an update on their plans.
“One more centre back is also a concrete possibility being discussed internally,” he told DAZN Football as cited on X.com.
“So I think Chelsea would be busy again.”
The Blues were linked with the likes of Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite, but Branthwaite has recently signed a new deal at Everton, whilst links to Guehi have gone quiet.
Whilst Chelsea are weighing up whether to sign another centre back, several of the current crop look like they will leave.
Renato Veiga, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus is attracting interested from Bayern Munich and is expected to be sold this summer.
