Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso hopes he can get to ‘lift a trophy’ in the Conference League this season after reaching the semi-final and will ‘talk to’ Moise Kean.

The Viola made it tougher than expected, considering they had won the first leg 2-1 in Slovenia and had taken the lead here through Rolando Mandragora.

Aljosa Matko and Klemen Nemanic took advantage of slack defending to get Celje level 3-3 on aggregate, but Moise Kean struck back for the 4-3 aggregate victory.

“The lads gave me a gift, I am going home next week and this month here has been wonderful,” Italian-American patron Commisso told Sky Sport Italia.

This is the third consecutive Conference League semi-final for Fiorentina, who reached and lost the Final in both 2023 and 2024.

They will take on Real Betis, who won 2-0 away and drew 1-1 at home in their quarter-final with Jagiellonia.

“We have not yet picked up any trophies, we’ll see if we can do it this year. I thank the fans, the coach and all those who work for Fiorentina.”

Kean continues to have a spectacular campaign, now with 23 goals and three assists in 39 competitive games.

All this has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, who would not be shy about paying the €52m release clause.

“I’ll talk to him when we go to Cagliari,” assured Commisso.
