Milan Futuro got their first ever Serie C win when they beat SPAL earlier in the week, but there are some concerns that Francesco Camarda is yet to score an open play goal.

As Calciomercato.com report, Camarda was not used during the victory on Thursday due to a small flexor problem, but on Monday evening against Lucchese he will be the starting centre-forward and will hope to build on his goal tally.

On August 17th he scored a brace in the Coppa Italia Serie C match against Novara, then on September 1st he got his first goal in the league from a penalty kick to reach the equaliser against Carpi.

The 16-year-old is not yet old enough to get a driving license and yet he continues to tick off milestones. Even though the results for Daniele Bonera’s side have been mixed, it was known before that the priority for the Futuro is to develop talents.

Camarda is the only player his age in Italy to be a starter in Lega Pro. He works well both physically and mentally with the awareness that playing at his current level is the best possible training ground to be ready for the first team, without rushing.

The teenager has made himself available to Bonera and his team-mates, aware that an opportunity like this is worth much more than scoring 30 goals in the Primavera. Now the attention is focused on Monday night’s challenge in Porta Elisa, Lucca.
