Donald Trump continues to make headlines with the Club World Cup. FIFA left the original trophy of the competition at the White House.

The 2025 Club World Cup came to a close on Sunday with Chelsea clinching the title against PSG in a 3-0 victory. The end of the tournament was also marked by the awkward show put on by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The politician made waves by staying on the podium to celebrate with the Blues. But in recent hours, The Guardian has reported comments from Trump, taken from an interview with DAZN, in which he claims to have kept the real Club World Cup trophy.

"I said: 'When are you going to take the trophy back?' They (FIFA) replied: 'We will never take it back. You can keep it forever in the Oval Office. We're making a new one.' And they made a new one. So it was very exciting, but at the moment, it's sitting in the Oval Office." Trump stated.
