All the information needed ahead of City’s first match in Australia…

In preparation for the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign, Gareth Taylor’s side will compete in the Perth International Football Cup this summer.

After setting off on Tuesday, the boss named the squad who will partake in matches against Leicester and then either Paris Saint Germain or West Ham United.

WHEN AND WHERE

Manchester City will face Leicester at HBF Park on Wednesday 28 August with kick-off scheduled for 11:15 (UK).

LAST TIME OUT

City closed the 2023/24 campaign with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park in our previous outing.

Although we collected three points thanks to goals from Mary Fowler and Lauren Hemp, we were beaten to the WSL title on goal difference by Chelsea.

PREVIOUS MEETING

A breathtaking Lauren Hemp scorpion kick and Chloe Kelly’s venomous corner helped us dramatically beat Leicester 2-0 the last time the side’s met.

With the game goalless entering the final 10 minutes, the former’s superb strike provided euphoria and relief before her fellow England international all-but sealed the points shortly after.
