Christian Eriksen left Manchester United this summer after three years at the club.
The Dane joined the Red Devils as a free agent in 2022 and won the Carabao cup and FA Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
The 33 year old played 107 matches, scoring eight goals.
Eriksen is still yet to find a permanent club despite the calendar flipping over to August today.
He was linked to a move to Wrexham but no deal came to pass for the classy midfielder.
There have also been links that he may join fellow Scandinavian, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, at Besiktas.
Nonetheless, the future of the midfielder is still very much up in the air and that has one Danish pundit concerned.
Speaking to Danish newspaper Tipsbladet, the former Real Madrid midfielder expressed his concern on Eriksen’s lack of ability to find a new club.
He stated, “I am extremely worried. What is a huge factor for me is that nothing is coming from Christian Eriksen.”
Gravesen elaborated that “a player of his age and with his qualities…where are those clubs? Why hasn’t he signed with a club yet? We all know how extremely important it is to be in shape… Why isn’t Christian Eriksen in it, why isn’t he participating on a level with the other players? Has he lost his joy? I am extremely worried.”
The pundit then compared Eriksen’s position to fellow Dane, Simon Kjær, who recently hung up his boots.
He added, “I’m sitting here crossing everything that can be crossed that he has not reached the end of the road. But the scenario we are facing is similar to Simon Kjær’s. Half a year passed, where we did not hear anything from Simon Kjær, and suddenly he was finished.”
Gravesen claimed that it was “too early” for Eriksen to follow the same path.
Eriksen certainly still has time on his side though as there is still a month to find a new club. The experienced Dane is probably just taking stock of all his offers before making the right move for his career.
In June, the player claimed that he had a lot of interest but he wanted to sign somewhere outside of the Premier League to have a different experience.
