Chicago Fire announce signing of LaLiga winger | OneFootball

Chicago Fire have announced the signing of winger Jonathan Bamba from LaLiga outfit Celta Vigo until 2027, with the option for a further year's extension.

Bamba will occupy an international spot on the Fire’s roster, once the club are in  receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.

“I’m very happy to join Chicago Fire FC at such an important moment for the Club,” said Bamba. “The direction the team is heading, both on and off the field, is very exciting, and I’m looking forward to contributing to its future success. I’m ready for this new challenge and can’t wait to work with my new coaches and teammates to achieve great things together.”

The 28-year-old has spent the majority of his career in France, but made the short hop to Spain to join Celta Vigo in 2023.

There, he has made 41 total appearances, scoring five goals.
