Luigi Cherubini, a young attacking midfielder owned by Roma, spoke in an interview with Corriere dello Sport about the most significant stages of his season on loan at Carrarese.
The former Primavera player did not hide his ambition to carve out a future space for himself in the Giallorossi.
The 2003-born player had an intense year, marked by physical issues and personal and professional growth that brought him even closer to the team he considers home.
“The reality is that I took a blow to my right knee close to my birthday. I do an MRI that notes an anomaly in the other knee, the left one. With Roma we immediately look into it and I can only thank the club forever for how they supported me.”
“We check everything and discover that it is a cyst, to be removed immediately. It was a benign tumor fortunately and so on February 21 I return to the field.”
“This season was very nice, important and formative. I have a contract with Roma until 2027, I left on a dry loan and I grew. It was like starting from scratch and when you fight for salvation you have to be mature.”
“The future? I don’t know what it holds for me. I admit that I would like to go on preseason with Roma. A little holiday at the seaside, in Ibiza with friends, then I’ll come back and start training again with my trainers. Whatever awaits me, I want to be ready.”
“Roma means everything to me. Because when you enter you are small and carefree but then when you leave you understand what he has done for you. For me, Roma is home and I will always say thank you to everyone there.”
