Nicolas Jackson is finally earning his flowers at Chelsea and after Saturday's performance against Leicester City, it's no wonder why.

The forward split the sides at the King Power Stadium just 15 minutes in, delivering a perfect strike into the bottom right corner of the net. His efforts continued to keep the Blues in the lead, later contributing to Enzo Fernandez's goal after attempting a shot on target himself.

After Saturday's 2-1 victory, Jackson brought his Premier League goal record up to seven, once again impressing in away fixtures. In fact, he owns the trophy for the most goals scored in away games so far this season and also tops the list for the most assists in travelling fixtures.

Only Manchester City's unstoppable Erling Haaland and Aston Villa's trusty OIlie Watkins have scored more non-penalty goals since the start of the 2023/24 campaign than Jackson, with the Chelsea star netting 21.

Jackson has now also amassed the same amount of goals this season as Chelsea starboy Cole Palmer, who had already netted seven before Saturday's clash.

Palmer was unable to alter the scoreline against Leicester, last finding the back of the net in the Premier League against Newcastle United in October.

While fans were originally concerned with how the team would perform under new boss Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have silenced any doubters with their constant impressive displays. They sit third in the league standings, just behind reigning champions Manchester City.

If the Blues can keep up their successful performances, they should be on track to upgrade their Conference League spot to a place in the Champions League next season.
