Chelsea target Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho | OneFootball

Chelsea FC are plotting a move to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho (20), according to a report this Friday from L’Equipe. The Blues are looking to bolster their attacking options during this winter transfer window as France international striker Christopher Nkunku (26) is considering his options with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich showing an interest. The outlet adds that Enzo Maresca’s Blues are also targetting Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi (22).

However, Napoli have blinked first and sent Dortmund a first €40m bid to sign the Germany international winger, which is under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2027. It has been reported that Garnacho, tied with United with a contract set to expire in 2028, is also of interest for Antonio Conte’s Partenopei. L’Equipe understands that Napoli’s major €70m sale of PSG-bound Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) has blown the strikers’ market wide open and that potential selling clubs – such as Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund – could scour the market for a winger, such as Lyon’s Rayan Cherki (21).
