Premier League giants Chelsea have moved forward with an opening offer for Deportivo de La Coruña star Yeremay Hernández.
That’s according to Marca, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.
Yeremay, for those not familiar with his name, is a 22-year-old attacker, who has spent the campaign to date establishing himself as a breakout star in Spain’s 2nd tier.
Across 18 Segunda appearances to date, the Spanish youth international, who chiefly operates on the left flank, has racked up eight goals and three assists.
Yeremay has turned heads with not only his production in the final third, but also his stellar dribbling and drive along the wing.
And such talents, as alluded to above, have this week piqued the attentions of one of English football’s leading clubs.
As per a report from Marca, Deportivo have an offer on the table from Chelsea, worth a sum in the region of €10 million.
This has not proven sufficient to coax the Segunda strugglers into a sale, however, with Deportivo continuing to point towards Yeremay’s €20 million release clause during negotiations.
Elsewhere, in La Liga, both Villarreal and Real Sociedad are continuing to keep a close on the situation.
