Chelsea are still in contact with the representatives of Alejandro Garnacho, who looks likely to leave Manchester United this summer according to reports.

The Blues are set for another busy summer and could sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business.

Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Chelsea still in touch with representatives of Garnacho

Whilst a striker is the main priority the Blues are also in the market for a wide player and have been linked with Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea held interest in United star Garnacho in January, but ultimately decided against making a move, but it appears the Argentine is still on the club’s radar.

TBR Football have reported Chelsea have continued to closely monitor the 20-year-old and are still in touch with his representatives.

The report adds United are ready to allow the Argentina international to leave as they are close to completing a deal with Wolves for Matheus Cunha.

Garnacho has insisted he’s happy at United, and he’s scored 11 goals and registered ten assists in 55 appearances in all competitions, but is still very inconsistent, as you’d expect from a player his age.

There was also interest from Napoli and it will be interesting to see if either club goes back in for the winger, whilst Paul Scholes thinks Garnacho could end scoring 25-30 goals if he leaves.

Gittens move close

It appears Chelsea have identified Gittens as their main target, and it’s highly likely the winger will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals this season, with Chelsea said to be in pole position for the winger’s signature.

It’s believed the Blues would be prepared to double Gittens’ current salary, with it thought he could be available for around €60m.

Carney Chukwuemeka is currently on loan at Dortmund, but it’s understood a potential swap deal isn’t currently under consideration.
