Chelsea are interested in signing West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus despite already bolstering their attack this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues have deals in place to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Joao Pedro. They have also completed the £30 million signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.
However, Chelsea are in the transfer race for the Ghanaian international alongside Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
Tottenham are set to miss out on Bryan Mbeumo, who prefers to join Manchester United.
They are ready to do business with the Hammers for the first time in 14 years.
Newcastle are also keen on Kudus after Chelsea pipped them to Pedro.
The Magpies have faced disappointment at every turn this summer and are desperate to strengthen their squad.
Chelsea are the only club to have proposed a concrete offer to West Ham for Kudus. They tried to exchange some players for the 24-year-old, but the Hammers rejected the bid.
They could return with a more suitable offer for Kudus as they look to pip the competition to sign the former Ajax winger.
Chelsea already have a bloated frontline, having signed Delap, Bynoe-Gittens and Pedro.
More than a dozen other attacking players are also still on the books.
They have assembled a chaotic collection of players without a clear plan. Continuously hoarding attackers only adds to the confusion and stifles development.
Throwing money around in such a reckless, scattergun fashion is a dangerous strategy.
The relentless stockpiling of players makes zero footballing or financial sense.
