Chelsea continue to explore forward options this summer, with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho still firmly on the radar. As reported by TBR Football, the 21-year-old winger wants to leave Old Trafford and ideally remain in England or Europe. Saudi clubs have made offers, but Garnacho’s representatives have distanced him from a move to the Gulf state.
His intention is clear. He sees his future away from United, and clubs are being alerted accordingly. “Right now, Alejandro Garnacho’s representatives are working hard to find a new club for the 21-year-old, who wants to leave Man United.”
It appears Chelsea are monitoring the situation closely. “And TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Chelsea retain an active interest in Garnacho and have had recent contact with his people, who are keeping the club informed.”
Despite having added Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, and welcoming the impending arrival of Estevao, Chelsea remain determined to bolster their wide attacking options. Garnacho’s mix of flair, energy and unpredictability still appeals to Stamford Bridge decision-makers.

The interest in Garnacho becomes clearer when considering the broader reshuffle in Chelsea’s attacking ranks. Noni Madueke is reportedly joining Arsenal, while the club is also exploring exits for Christopher Nkunku and João Félix. Mykhailo Mudryk, meanwhile, is sidelined for the near future.
This transition leaves space and justification for another wide forward with Premier League experience and potential resale value. Garnacho, still only 21, ticks those boxes. His time at Manchester United has been uneven, but his talent remains unquestioned.
The Argentine winger has also drawn interest from Aston Villa. TBR Football confirm that “Aston Villa are still interested in Garnacho too,” with Unai Emery potentially seeking a replacement for Leon Bailey. Garnacho even fuelled speculation by recently appearing in a Marcus Rashford shirt at Villa Park, a gesture perhaps aimed at solidarity or transition.
While Chelsea and Villa remain keen, other suitors have moved on. Tottenham Hotspur were previously interested but have since focused on Mohammed Kudus and Morgan Gibbs-White, leaving Garnacho off their priority list. Bayern Munich are still in the mix, albeit without formal progress.

Elsewhere, Napoli’s interest has cooled following advances for Noa Lang and Dan Ndoye, while Atlético Madrid opted to pursue Alex Baena instead. Garnacho had been open to a move back to his hometown but that now appears unlikely.
Manchester United’s valuation, reportedly around £40 million, may also be a sticking point. While Chelsea have funds available, they will likely push for favourable terms, especially given the player’s clear desire to leave.
For Chelsea, this represents an opportunity to invest in a young winger whose peak years lie ahead. Garnacho’s inconsistency can be frustrating, but few wingers his age offer such electric change of pace, technical flair and direct threat.
If United are willing to negotiate, this could be a smart move for all parties. For Garnacho, it would mean a fresh start in familiar surroundings. For Chelsea, it could signal a longer-term commitment to rebuilding with dynamic, fearless players.
For Chelsea fans, the idea of Alejandro Garnacho in blue is both intriguing and risky. He has the raw attributes fans love to see: pace, ambition, and that edge of unpredictability, but there are questions about attitude, consistency and maturity.
Still, the attacking overhaul underway at Stamford Bridge makes a move like this easier to digest. If Nkunku and João Félix are moved on, there’s room to take a calculated risk on someone like Garnacho, who has already shown he can handle the Premier League spotlight. His drive to remain in England shows he’s not chasing the easy route, and that will appeal to the fanbase.
Some might wonder about his Manchester United past, but in modern football, loyalty is a fading concept. If he can perform, Stamford Bridge will welcome him quickly. Garnacho could thrive in a system that gives him more freedom and a clearer role. Chelsea fans are right to be cautious, but this might be a gamble worth taking if the price is right.
