Chelsea ready to offer €15 million for Saint-Étienne’s Mathis Amougou | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport and confirmed by Foot Mercato, Chelsea want to sign Mathis Amougou from AS Saint-Étienne.

RMC Sport writes that the BlueCo who own Chelsea (and also RC Strasbourg Alsace) are committed to trying to persuade Saint-Étienne to part ways with the highly promising midfielder. They are ready to offer €15 million to convince the struggling side.

Negotiations between the two parties are currently ongoing and it is not yet known whether BlueCo will sign the player for Chelsea or if they plan to send him on loan to their sister club Strasbourg.

Amougou courts interest from Bayer Leverkusen

Amougou who represents France at the U20 level has gained some significant game time for Les Verts this season and was a regular starter for the first few months of the season under previous head coach Olivier Dall’Oglio.

This is not the first time that the midfielder has courted interest. A few months Amougou was linked with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
