The English club is in no rush to part ways with the Senegalese player.
Nicolas Jackson
Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea is becoming increasingly uncertain. Despite persistent rumors about a potential departure, the Senegalese striker appears to be heading toward another season in Chelsea colors.
With the Premier League season fast approaching and the summer transfer window gradually drawing to a close, Jackson's situation at Chelsea remains unchanged. The Senegalese forward, under contract until 2028, could therefore start the season with the Blues, barring a late twist in the market.
Arriving with high expectations, Nicolas Jackson has stood out for his tireless work rate, physical strength, and relentless runs. However, his shortcomings in finishing and his decision-making in the final third have often been criticized. Despite a solid 2024/25 season (13 goals in 34 appearances), Jackson's position has been weakened by the arrival of new attacking rivals such as Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. The latter, in particular, made his mark during Chelsea's victorious FIFA Club World Cup campaign. These new additions have significantly intensified the competition for attacking spots, pushing Nicolas Jackson closer to the exit door.
The London club, which had initially opened the door to a transfer, has since cooled the interest of potential suitors by setting a hefty price tag for the Senegalese striker. Chelsea is demanding nearly €115 million to let Jackson go—a figure far higher than the €37 million paid to secure his services in 2023. This steep price has quickly discouraged clubs like Napoli, AC Milan, and FC Barcelona, all of whom were interested but reluctant to meet such demands. To date, no club has submitted an offer close to Chelsea's asking price.
