Jorrel Hato is set to fly in for a Chelsea medical after a deal worth £37million, plus add-ons, was agreed with Ajax.

Standard Sport understands that Hato will sign a seven-year contract to become Chelsea's fourth summer signing. He will compete with Marc Cucurella at left-back

The two clubs have been in talks for a number of days, prompting Hato to be absent from Ajax's squad for the Como Cup final on Sunday due to the risk of injury ahead of a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Hato is considered one of the best prospects in Europe, matching Chelsea's policy of signing young stars with bright futures, and has long been of interest to Arsenal.
