Chelsea climbed their way back into the top four of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday.
An early penalty shout from Cole Palmer was quickly waved away but there was no denying Jadon Sancho's appeal 19 minutes in. The winger threw himself to the ground after seeing his toe stepped on by Victor Kristiansen, but Palmer's drilled penalty was well kept out by Mads Hermansen.
Tosin Adarabioyo accidentally headed on to his own crossbar as Leicester tried to pose a threat on the counter, but the two sides could not be separated before the break.
Home fans grew frustrated as Chelsea made hard work of their attacking forays forward, but those tensions were eased on the hour mark when Marc Cucurella arrowed a low strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
After the enthusiasm was knocked out of Leicester, the two sides played out a largely uninspiring finale, with Chelsea clearly happy to settle for a narrow victory and the three points that came with it.
