The Council of San Donato continue to be wary of the fact that AC Milan are pursuing multiple stadium projects and are readying a letter.

Milan and Inter have officially sent Sala an expression of interest for the future acquisition of San Siro and the surrounding area, but it is not ‘binding’ in any way. This allows the two clubs to possibly take a step back in the future, given that the Rossoneri are also proceeding with their San Donato project too.

As Calciomercato.com report, Massimiliano Mistretta – the councillor for Public Works of San Donato – has responded to the latest news regarding San Siro and what it means for the San Donato plans.

“With seriousness and correctness, we are proceeding with the technical-administrative process, which has now reached the Vas phase, the Strategic Environmental Assessment,” he said.

“Whether or not the stadium will be built in San Donato depends on a series of variants. For our part, it is essential that some critical issues are overcome, which we have not failed to highlight. Do Milan want to keep more options open? It’s legitimate.”
