Representatives of AC Milan and Inter met with Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala to give an update on their San Siro proposal, a report claims.
As Calcio e Finanza report, there was a new meeting on the San Siro issue between Inter, Milan and the mayor. As requested by Sala, he representatives of the two clubs had a meeting at the City Hall for updates on the theme of the project for the new facility.
The clubs have not yet filed the ‘Docfap’, which is the feasibility document that the clubs updated after the green light from the Council to the sale of the facility and surrounding areas. The timescale has lengthened in recent days, after everything seemed ready to be filed.
Everything revolves around the clause that defines what would happen if one of the two clubs were to back out, a topic that RedBird Capital and Oaktree are negotiating without having so far found an agreement.
The meeting that took place in the late afternoon and in which Inter and Milan confirmed to the mayor that the agreement is not yet in place, which is why the clubs have asked for more time. Sala gave the ok, but asked for a new update in a further summit that should take place on Wednesday.

The issue, moreover, is not trivial, also because it refers to an operation worth over €1bn. This is why the clubs and owners have asked the mayor for more time to try and reach a mutual understanding.
This morning, Sala spoke about the meeting: “I had a meeting with the teams last night, they have no problems or differences on the proposal to make to the Council on which they have reached an agreement.
“They are discussing clauses that concern the relationships between them, because it is clear that this is a long operation, which will last years so they must take care to understand how to regulate any points of blockage or disagreement. I am quite confident and I will see them again tomorrow.
“No ultimatum of any kind, but I explained to him that we must proceed if we want to confirm the time frame we had given ourselves.”
