Celtic and Rangers are both keen on recruiting the services of Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan and have tabled offers for him today, according to Sky Sports journalist Christopher Reidy.
Celtic and Rangers played out a goalless draw at Ibrox earlier today, and they will also do battle for the Eagles attacker in the closing hours of the summer transfer window.
However, the Scottish Premiership duo are not the only ones keen on Rak-Sakyi, with Leicester City and Lyon also interested in him.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan in the English Championship with Sheffield United, weighing in with seven goals and two assists in 36 appearances.
However, he remains out of favour at the Selhurst Park club given the plethora of attacking options available to manager Oliver Glasner.
A move to Scotland could appeal to him given that both Celtic and Rangers are offering Europa League football this term.
The Hoops and Bears are also set to challenge for the Premiership title this term.
They could do with more attacking firepower in their bid to challenge across Europe and domestically.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been crying out for reinforcements in the final third.
Their elimination at the hands of Kazakhstan Premier League club FC Kairat in the play-offs of the Champions League exposed their lack of attacking depth, and signing Rak-Sakyi will come in handy.
Rangers boss Russell Martin is under pressure following a winless start to the 2025-26 Premiership season and the 9-1 defeat on aggregate to Club Brugge in the Champions League play-offs.
He has added Macedonian forward Bojan Miovski from Girona to his attack yesterday.
Everton striker Youssef Chermiti will also be joining in a permanent deal that could be worth £10 million.
The chance to sign Rak-Sakyi on loan would appeal to him, and the next few hours could be crucial to their chances of luring him to Ibrox.
