A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Celta Vigo has this weekend agreed on the personal terms of a contract with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Fernando ‘Fer’ López as the player in question.

Youngster López, for his part, is fresh off something of a breakout season in 2024/25.

Rewarded for his standout efforts on the books of Celta B, the 21-year-old was afforded a place in the first-team setup in Vigo for the 2nd half of the campaign.

And López went on to play a prominent role for the Celestes, racking up 17 La Liga appearances, and chipping in with a pair of goals along the way.

With such exposure, though, comes inevitable outside interest.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, the Spanish starlet now appears to be inching towards an imminent move to England.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Wolves have agreed personal terms with Fer López on long term deal, all set with his agent. Negotiations underway with Celta Vigo to get the deal done between clubs.’
