Fans are wondering who will be pulling on the famous red shirt for the new campaign and the players featured in the kit launch may have provided some clues.

United midfielders’ Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat’s futures have been hot topics of discussion this summer with the duo wondering whether they will remain at Old Trafford or be shifted on.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, both players have been included in promotion for the new kit, dropping a huge hint the pair are part of the plans for the new campaign.

Casemiro suffered a horrendous individual season last time out and looked as though his time might well be up at the top level, despite a stellar debut campaign in English football.

Widespread reports of a move to the Saudi Pro League looked likely to offer the Brazilian a route out of Manchester but his experience could still prove useful to Erik ten Hag should he stay.

United would surely still listen to offers for the former Real Madrid man but are said to be holding out for a decent fee given Casemiro’s stature in the game.

Amrabat on the other hand will be sweating on his future with the club weighing up whether to sign the Moroccan on a permanent deal. Having signed on loan from Fiorentina at the start of last season, Amrabat suffered an up-and-down campaign, failing to get a consistent run in the first team.

It would be somewhat of a surprise to see Amrabat stay given his form throughout the campaign. However, the 27-year-old ended the season strong and produced an outstanding display in the FA Cup final win against Manchester City, at Wembley.

United will have to pay an additional €25 million to Serie A, having already forked out €10 million to have him for the season. The midfielder has been included in United’s updated squad list on the official website which could be the surest sign yet that he set for another season at the club.

If the pair do stay at Old Trafford it will leave INEOS to work on bolstering other areas of the pitch that are in a major need of reinforcements.
