Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to reveal his appreciation for the efforts of one particular member of his frontline in the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Vinícius Jr.
Real Madrid were of course back in action on Tuesday night, when they welcomed Real Sociedad to Spain’s capital for the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie between the clubs.
And, en route to a pulsating 4-4 draw (and 5-4 Blancos triumph on aggregate), the aforementioned Vinícius played a starring role.
Though the Brazilian left his shooting boots at home, his creative exploits were of the highest standard.
Vinícius laid on two brilliant assists, first for Endrick, and later for Jude Bellingham.
And such excellence, as alluded to above, was not at all lost on Real Madrid’s headmaster.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Tuesday’s fixture, Carlo Ancelotti, in fact, reserved special praise for Vinícius, in explaining:
“Vinícius was the best today. He was very decisive and had a great game.”
