Carlo Ancelotti hails ‘spectacular’ Barcelona star | OneFootball

Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti has this week moved to make clear his appreciation for the talents of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha was for his part back in action on the international front in the early hours of Wednesday.

En route to Brazil booking their spot at the 2026 World Cup, the former Leeds United man featured from the off in a 1-0 victory over Paraguay.

It was Real Madrid standout Vinícius Jr. who proved himself match-winner on the day, courtesy of the game’s only goal late in the first-half.

As alluded to above, though, post-match, manager Carlo Ancelotti was keen to highlight the efforts of Barcelona counterpart Raphinha, too.

Speaking to the media on the back of his first official victory as Brazil boss, Ancelotti first hailed Raphinha for his ‘extraordinary physical work’, before labelling the 28-year-old ‘a spectacular player’.
