Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an explanation for his decision not to make use of youngster Endrick in the club’s latest outing.
Real are of course fresh a return to winning ways, recovering from a midweek Champions League defeat at the hands of Liverpool with a comfortable victory over Getafe.
The aforementioned Endrick, though, was for his part forced to watch on from the sidelines once more…
Despite rumours in the days leading up to the clash that the Brazilian international could be afforded a rare start, he failed to see a single minute of playing time.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle this evening, it therefore came as little surprise when Endrick’s name was quickly put to boss Carlo Ancelotti.
And, in his response, Real Madrid’s headmaster went on to reveal that he was keen not to disturb the balance of his team late in proceedings:
“Endrick? I didn’t want to change things 2 minutes before the end because Mbappé was being very dangerous and Brahim and Arda were helping in defense.”
