The Clarets currently have Craig Bellamy in charge as their interim boss, and they are searching for a new permanent boss, but work is still going on behind the scenes to ensure Burnley's squad is capable of leading them back to the Premier League.

Relegation from the Premier League may mean that there's plenty of change at Turf Moor this summer, and with parachute payments in their pockets, the Clarets will likely be able to outbid the vast majority of their Championship rivals.

With that in mind, here is all the latest transfer news from Turf Moor...

Burnley join Championship rivals in race for Ilay Camara

Burnley, Preston North End and Coventry City all want to sign RWD Molenbeek wing-back Ilay Camara, according to reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The 21-year-old impressed for Belgian Pro League outfit RWD Molenbeek despite their relegation, and the ex-Anderlecht product is said to be open to a move to the Championship.

The youngster registered three goals and seven assists in 31 appearances last season, and it's reported that it will cost between £1.5million to £2million to sign him this summer.

However, the Clarets may have an advantage over their Championship rivals as interim boss Bellamy spent time at Anderlecht, where Camara came through the ranks, and will have knowledge of his game which could convince the youngster to move to Turf Moor.

James Trafford asking price revealed

Burnley want a transfer fee of £20million if James Trafford is to leave this summer, amid links to Premier League side Newcastle United, according to The Chronicle.

Trafford joined Burnley last summer from Manchester City after an impressive loan spell at Bolton Wanderers during the 2022/23 campaign, but struggled to live up to expectations and was actually dropped in favour of Arijanet Muric for the last ten league games of the season.

It looks likely that the goalkeeper will depart this summer, with Fabrizio Romano already reporting that Trafford has agreed personal terms with Newcastle, but Burnley will want to maximise the fee they can get when they sell him, and certainly won't be selling him for a cut-price fee.

Providing that Newcastle stump up the required £20m, Burnley supporters won't be too concerned by Trafford's seemingly imminent exit with the 21-year-old falling to second choice during the latter stages of the season, and having a more than able 'keeper in Muric on their books.

Wout Weghorst latest

Wout Weghorst is a bit of a forgotten man at Turf Moor given he's spent the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas, Manchester United and TSG Hoffenheim respectively, but it looks as if he'll move on permanently this summer.

The Dutch striker, who actually scored the winner for his country against Poland on Sunday, is attracting interest from Dutch sides Ajax and FC Twente, and the Clarets will be hoping that further good performances at the Euros will see his stock go up, and they'll have more clubs interested in him.

Weghorst is out of contract at Turf Moor next summer, so they'll have to sell him in the coming months to avoid losing him for free.

It's been reported by Fabrizio Romano that talks between Weghorst and Ajax are 'very advanced', while FC Twente have also been credited with an interest, and their manager, Joseph Oosting, has made it clear that he wants to sign the big striker.

Speaking to Voetbal International, Oosting said: "[Myron] Boadu and Weghorst are players who would like to play at Twente. It's as simple as that. Then it's about whether we can get them.
