Jamie-Lee Napier got the third a couple of minutes after the restart when following up Lloyd-Smith’s parried header, Ellie Mason scoring a late consolation for the hosts.

Durham defeated Southampton with the only goal of the game, which came inside the first 15 minutes. Mollie Lambert won the ball in midfield and advanced into the box to slot past goalkeeper Fran Stanson. The result lifted the Wildcats into fourth position.

Charlton Athletic were 3-0 winners over Sheffield United, as they climbed to fifth spot. Charlotte Newham scored inside 20 minutes for the Addicks when following up Emma Bissell’s blocked shot. Freya Gregory found Shani Hayles to fire United in front, Hayles getting her second five minutes into the second period. Within a quarter of an hour later Pompey were back on level terms, Sophie Quirk netting a free lock and Riva Casley glancing home a Georgie Freeland corner. United regained the lead when Casley turned the ball into her own net from Demi Stokes effort.
