The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 30-year-old centre-back moves to Ashton Gate after spending the last 12 months with West Ham United. Sáez joined The Hammers from Spanish finetwork Liga F club Madrid CFF last summer. The defender made 14 appearances for The Hammers in all competitions in 2024/2025, helping the club to achieve a ninth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
On the international stage, Sáez has been capped by Chile on more than 100 occasions. She is one of her country’s most capped players of all-time.
After joining Bristol City on a season-long loan arrangement, Sáez said “I think the squad we have and the players we have signed are a really high level and are able to achieve our goal of promotion. I can’t wait for it to start.”
Sáez will be hoping to help Bristol City return to the Barclays Women’s Super League this season. The Robins failed to achieve the feat at the first attempt last term, finishing in an underwhelming position of sixth place in the Barclays WSL2 table.
