According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Werder Bremen have reached an agreement on personal terms with Juventus’s Samuel Mbangula (21), with the winger offered a five-year contract at the Bundesliga side. However, the German side have yet to finalise an agreement with their Italian counterparts.
Werder Bremen have submitted a second offer for the Belgian youth international after their opening approach of €8m was declined. Juventus reportedly want around €10-12m for a player who made his debut for the club in the first game of the 2024/25 season (scoring and assisting in the 3-0 win over Como 1907). Mbangula went on to make 32 appearances across all competitions for The Old Lady, registering four goals and five assists.
Werder Bremen are not the only team interested, and Tavolieri writes that Brentford FC and RC Strasbourg Alsace are both keeping tabs on the winger’s situation. It remains to be seen whether they will look to swoop in and steal Mbangula from under Werder Bremen’s noses.
