Williams is also accused of driving without insurance which means he has nothing to complain about after getting caught red-handed.

On Friday, 19 April 2024, Williams appeared in the dock wearing a black suit, white shirt and navy tie. The English left-back only spoke to confirm his name and to formally enter pleas of not guilty to both offences.

Williams left court after being released on unconditional bail.
