Real Madrid are dealing with a tough time as they are struggling to get things going. They dropped three vital points in their previous game against Athletic Club in the La Liga. Their next challenge lies against Girona, which they need to win anyhow.
The Whites just cannot afford to crumble anymore as they are in a critical situation. After Girona’s fixture, they will face Atalanta in the Champions League, a game which they again need to win to remain in the race. Hence, a lot of drama awaits for Real Madrid & fans.
Defence
An unusual error from Thibaut Courtois ended up with a goal for the opponents. The goalkeeper will look to redeem himself in this fixture. Right-back Lucas Vazquez has done enough to see himself start once again.
The centre-back duo of Antonio Rudiger and Raul Asencio remain intact. However, Fran Garcia could be making way for Ferland Mendy at the left-back position.

Midfield
Aurelien Tchouameni is likely to don the role of a deep-lying midfielder once again. However, he surely needs to contribute more to the team’s performance. Notably, Federico Valverde made his first big error in Real Madrid’s shirt. He will be desperate to make a big impact against Girona this weekend.
Jude Bellingham continues to be a big position for the Whites and his selection is undisputed.
Attack
Carlo Ancelotti might prefer starting Brahim Diaz in place of Dani Ceballos in this game. It will allow Kylian Mbappe to primarily play on the left wing with Rodrygo taking care of the right flank.
Important to mention that Mbappe will be under immense pressure to extract positive results.
Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba will not be available for selection.
