Blow for Tottenham Hotspur as Bayern Munich join race for Tyler Dibling | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to make a few additions before the February 3 transfer deadline.

A severe injury crisis means Spurs are currently without several key men such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario.

Tottenham need to be very active in the remaining days of the transfer window to sign a few players and give Ange Postecoglou’s squad a much-needed lift.

The north Londoners have been heavily linked with Southampton star Tyler Dibling recently. But they have received a blow in their pursuit as Bayern Munich have also entered the race for the talented youngster.

According to The Sun, the Bundesliga giants believe the opportunity to play with Harry Kane will persuade Dibling to come to Germany.

Borussia Dortmund also retain an interest, while RB Leipzig have made the 18-year-old their number one summer target.

Tottenham will be very eager to secure a deal for Dibling in the January window.

But Southampton will not be willing to lose a key player midway through the campaign. They have a slim chance of surviving in the Premier League, and the teenager has featured in 20 league matches for them.

With the winger’s contract not expiring until 2027, the Saints are also not under any pressure to sell him this month.

It looks Dibling will not be going anywhere this season, but a summer move is very likely if Southampton go down to the Championship.

Tottenham will be vying for the 18-year-old’s signature in the summer, but will face competition from Bayern who have won the Champions League an incredible six times.
