Blackburn’s basket-case owners reap what they sow

Blackburn Rovers’ fall from grace in recent years has been driven by the incompetence of owners who don’t care about the club.

Venky’s ineptitude has ripped the soul out of a famous club which was one of the founding members of the English Football League.

The latest debacle to befall Rovers is the loss of manager John Eustace, who has decided trying to help Derby County avoid relegation is better than staying with Blackburn.

Eustace’s exit is a sad indictment of Venky’s incompetence

The reasons for Venky’s involvement with Rovers remain a mystery. They promised the earth when they took over the club but have delivered endless heartache.

Questionable decisions have been a common theme throughout their ownership, yet they continue to allow the club to rumble along aimlessly.

Eustace briefly brought a modicum of hope to Blackburn fans, helping the team mount an unlikely bid to secure a place in the Championship play-offs.

While his return to Derby is no surprise due to his previous connection to the club, it speaks volumes that he would leave a promotion chase for a relegation battle.

The Blackburn board’s insistence that ‘significant investment’ has been made in the squad is laughable and highlights how they are taking the fans for mugs.

Venky’s have previously claimed they always have the best interests of Rovers at heart. If this is true, they will put the club up for sale.

They have been thoroughly lousy owners. It is time to go.
