Birmingham City have smashed their club transfer record to sign Manchester United’s Brazilian attacker Ivana Fuso.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.

Ivana joins Birmingham City on a two-year contract while the Blues hold the option to extend the deal by a further year.

Ivana joined former club Manchester United in summer 2020. The 22-year-old has continued to develop with The Red Devils, although regular minutes have been in short supply. She spent last season on loan at German club Bayer Leverkusen.

The Brazilian international needs regular game to help her become a top class talent and she could now play a starring role for new club Birmingham City.

After completing her move to St Andrew’s, Ivana said “I’m really excited and I can’t wait to get started. I like the project with this club, I think they have big aims and they want to achieve big things.

“I want to challenge myself and I believe in this project. I believe also in what this team can do. I needed a new challenge and a fresh start.”

Ivana becomes Birmingham City head coach Darren Carter’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
