Birmingham City hold a strong interest in Montpellier HSC forward Tanguy Coulibaly (24), according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Coulibaly joined Montpellier on a free transfer back in 2023, following the expiry of his contract at VfB Stuttgart. The former Paris Saint-Germain academy product has since gone on to play 44 times for La Paillade, netting four goals and registering one assist. MHSC’s relegation to Ligue 2 has seen many players leave the club, albeit fewer than initially expected.
However, there could yet be further movement before the closure of the transfer window. Coulibaly could be one of those on the move. The Frenchman did not take part in MHSC’s first game of the Ligue 2 season on Friday night, against Red Star. Toubache-Ter now understands that he is the subject of intense interest from EFL Championship side Birmingham City. Contracted until the end of the current campaign, Coulibaly has a value of €1.5m, as per Transfermarkt.
