Birmingham City closing in on Montpellier’s Becir Omeragic | OneFootball

Birmingham City are closing in on Montpellier HSC defender Becir Omeragic (23), according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.

Omeragic is one of the Montpellier players who was earmarked for a departure when La Paillade’s relegation to Ligue 2 was confirmed back in May. However, the Swiss international remains at the club with just hours to go until the closure of the transfer window.

The Swiss international was one of the few players to emerge from last season with his reputation intact at Montpellier. There has been interest shown from numerous clubs from across Europe, however, none of those clubs have got the deal done.

However, Birmingham City are looking to get the deal done with just a matter of hours remaining in the window. As per a report from Toubache-Ter, discussions between the clubs have been ongoing since this morning and have been intense. MHSC will not block their defender from leaving the club.
