Edin Terzic held talks with AC Milan but ultimately decided to turn down the chance to join them, according to a report.
Back in September, MilanNews reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic had met with Terzic, who has been out of work since being let go by Borussia Dortmund last summer despite taking them to the Champions League final. Sky in Germany confirmed that the Rossoneri were keen in October.
According to Bild (via SportWitness), Terzic is now eyeing his next job after spending almost an entire season out of work, and it is Tottenham Hotspur that he is attracted by. He previously rejected approaches from Besiktas and West Ham, they add.
However, the source state that he rejected Milan last summer because he wanted a break after quite an intense period at Dortmund. Now, a move to the Premier League is on his mind and he would have considered Manchester United, before the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
In the end, Milan appointed Paulo Fonseca as Stefano Pioli’s successor, and it didn’t go to plan. The ex-Lille boss lasted just 24 games before getting the sack, and the decision was made to entrust his compatriot Sergio Conceicaio.
It remains to be seen if Terzic’s name will be linked again with the Rossoneri given that Conceicao is expected to leave at the end of the current season, either by mutual consent or by resignation.
